Call for Presenters:
Internet Mapping - static maps, dynamic maps, map services, map interfaces, etc
- have you ever been left feeling confused as to what Internet Mapping is and
what is available? We all realize there are static maps, interactive web
mapping, etc, but we want more on Dynamic Internet GIS! What software is
available, how do these work, but then what is a GIS service, why do we need
all these third party applications, what is the easiest to implement, what
about the servers, sensitive data, customers inside and out, etc. - confused,
well NorCal URISA wants to help clear this up!
The next chapter meeting will try to pull apart and define the various types of
Dynamic Internet GIS, what is available in a basic how to approach, and provide
presentations on what is being done locally. Since this subject matter is
extensive this discussion will include 2 Chapter meetings - so if you would
like to help out by either offering a presentation OR by helping to coordinate
this please contact Lorri Peltz-Lewis!
