| Opening on the Board |
Due to a resignation from the Board, the Northern
California Chapter of URISA is recruiting to fill the position
of President-Elect for the remainder of this year's term,
which runs through December of 2006. This vacancy may be
filled by action of the Board of Directors from eligible
candidates. A person typically elected to this position would
serve one year as President-Elect, followed by one year as
President, and one year as Past President. This position will
take over as President of the Chapter on January 1, 2007.
The President-Elect assumes the duties of the President in
the absence of the President, performs other duties as the
President and Board recommends, and must be a URISA National
member in good standing. (The requirement for officers of the
Chapter to be members of the parent organization allows the
Chapter to be covered by URISA's insurance policies.)
For questions pertaining to this election, or information
on becoming a National Member, please contact Geney Terry at
